Gods Play Dice was made in 7 days for the 7DRL jam.

You play as a six-sided die sent from the gods and must traverse dangerous spaces, defeating enemies and not defeating yourself!

Gods Play Dice uses a unique battle mechanic where the orientation of the die pips are the most critical factor in your strategies.

See the in-game instructions for all the details!

Thanks for playing! This is a jam game, so bugs will not be shocking.

Known Issues:

Your character doesn't cast a shadow. Not sure what happened here.

EDIT: Added web build on 3/24/2025. No changes made from 7DRL version except for a material change to work in HTML5 on enemy characters.

Install instructions

Download and unzip the .zip file and run the .exe. This is not a virus, I promise.

It should work easily from the itch.io app, which is what I prefer.

Thanks for playing and posting the video of your playthrough! You gave it a good shot, and I appreciate it. The real plan was to have items and modifiers as you go, but I definitely ran out of time.
