Running With Scissors
A very early Windows Phone 8 game that stood out for being well made, lots of fun, and something in the app store that wasn't a tip calculator. I've revived this game here to remind us of what was, and because the game is still quite fun, even if it is simple.
If on a computer, use your mouse button to "tap" or the spacebar.
This game was originally created by Daniel Fairley (aka poemdexter) and released to the public in this repository: https://bitbucket.org/poemdexter/rws/src/windows/
As far as I can tell, everything is working as originally intended. The only two issues I know of are a small 'hiccup' in the music once the level loads and the game over level info has been moved down a bit to be more readable. Otherwise, I am not sure if this plays, looks, and sounds identical to its original intent, since I have no access to a phone with this loaded on it, and I can't find any videos or other information online at this point.
I made minimal code changes to get things to work in HTML5. Most of the issues with bringing this up to Unity 6.0 were caused by old plugins and coding techniques that were commonly recommended at the time, but now cause issues in HTML5.
I hope you enjoy!
