A downloadable Discounted Import

Just released in the U.S., this hot new title lets you control Slime Boy and help him find hamburgers and candy when they appear in a local store. For some reason, bad guys don't want you to eat these treats and will try to catch you before you can place your goodies in the drop-off point. At least that is what is supposed to happen, but this dusted off relic seems to be missing that final eighty percent of development needed to make it a classic.

Our editors tell us this is a spiritual sequel to a game called Manbiki Shonen in Japan and Slime Boy is called "Glube" there too. What a crazy place!

Give Slime Boy a chance and see what an untrained programmer came up with in limited time, just don't expect too much!

IMPORTANT: An NES emulator is required to run this software. All testing and development was done using FCEUX and it also seems to work with FCEUmm in RetroArch. Other emulators like Mesen did not work right away.

How to Play:  Move Glube Slime Boy around the store and pickup treats like candy and onigiri hamburgers. You can only carry three at a time, and to score points you'll have to drop off your treats at the red drop off location at the center of the shop. Good luck!

Disclaimer: If you couldn't tell, this game isn't really done. There are no sounds, barely a game, and it's all really rough. I just learned and made what I could during two game jams. I started this in 2023 during the Society of Play's Glube Jam and barely learned a few basics. At that point, you could move Glube around the screen. I picked it up again for Revival Jam 2025 and now there is an actual game loop, which is a big improvement. Treat this like an early prototype that Iwata could create while he drank his first cup of coffee.
